We’ve had to rely on Dr. Audiard several times – nothing too serious – and he has been friendly and helpful. He speaks enough English.

There are dozens of mountain biking tracks in the picturesque hills near the apartmen and the surrounding Val d’Arly, and many more at the top of lifts which are open in Summer in the surrounding resorts.
The French Alps is the natural home of Mountain biking – or VTT as they say in France (for vélo tout terrain). In Summer there are almost as many people of saddles in the area as there are on skis in the Winter.
Bikes can be hired in many places locally but our friend Stuart has always hired from Derby Sports, which just 5 mins from the apartment. His preference is now for e-bikes, which can give an extra boost when the going gets tough.

A snap from the balcony webcam at around 2.30pm today shows the first snow of the season falling in the town in Praz-sur-Arly. Good to see after such as mild autumn – just a couple of weeks ago and it was 18C and sunny for a whole week.
If the forecasts can be believe up to half a meter could come down this evening and a top up of 10cm later in the week.
