Quick mid-pandemic summer trip July 2020

In the lull in the case numbers during the Summer of 2020 we headed for Praz for a week in the Mountains – by car for safety. No Zeb, unfortunately (he had other plans) but we did get Daisy’s friend Sally

The Moufle is now the Local Bar

Praz sur Arly’s funkiest drinking establishment reopened this season under new management and with a new name: the Local Bar.

The decor has been updated – but no more than we’ve been used too between seasons – and is still very hip. And there is still an amazing array of craft and local beers on offer. So no change there. We have not tried the bar snacks (if there are any) or experienced the entertainment but there’s no reason to think it is not as good as before. The welcome and service is certainly very friendly.

Best Ski Hire in Praz sur Arly

So, we have tried the rest and always return to the best: Emonet Sports. It changed hands last year from some lovely people to some equally lovely people and so we can thoroughly recommend you pick up your ski and snowboarding equipment here. It really is the best quality and the best service.

Jean-Charles says he can also deliver equipment to the chalet, if you don’t have suitable transport. 

You can book online here – it’s the same discounted prices as Ski Set (maybe a bit cheaper) but all the money goes to the guys running the store.
